Details

The Spring Devo MTB Team is organized and operated by Bikes Are The Answer, an all volunteer 501c3 nonprofit.  The team insurance, coach training and operations are managed entirely by Bikes Are The Answer.  Riders will participate in group rides and training but will not be registered for Washington Student Cycling League races (WSCL).

Practice Days and Locations

The practices will be at the same time and location as the the WSCL practices for your area (INW or Valley).   Coaches will update this based on weather and conditions.

March 9 to May 27.

Monday    5:30 to 7:00  - Camp Sekani

Wednesday 5:30 to 7:00 - Camp Sekani until May 6th.  Wed in May will have a fun scrimmages at either Beacon or Riverside (Coaches will update this in March)

Requirements

Must have a functional mountain bike, helmet and be able to dress for a extended adventure in  the weather.

Must be able to ride a bike around Riverside and Beacon.

Older kids ride with their age groups.

What to Expect

The team will separate into pods so younger riders are challenged but not overwhelmed and the more experienced riders get the extended adventures they need to thrive.

We focus on fun and inclusion.  There is an emphasis on skill development but it is delivered while riding, moving and having fun.  Athletes will be moving most of the practice.
